Cranial/Sacral Therapy: Gently works with the spine and skull giving movement to the cerebrospinal fluid through the spinal cord to ease or open restriction of nerve passages. This type of bodywork is most effective for mental blockages.
Relaxation Massage: This massage is the most popular type of massage. Our relaxation massage is primarily Swedish massage with a bit of Tui-na and Shiatsu infused.
Deep Tissue Therapy: Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the firm pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints). Please note: It is common for people who receive Deep Tissue Therapy to experience some soreness after treatment. This is normal and will go away. It is most imperative after this treatment, as with all massage therapy treatments, to be well-hydrated after your Deep Tissue Therapy for flushing the toxins from the body.
Neuromuscular Therapy/Myo-Fascial-Release: NMT and MFR both use various techniques including long stretching strokes aimed at points of restriction in the fascia and surrounding connective tissue that restrict movement to the bones, nerves, muscles and organs.
Sports Massage: Sports Massage, much like Deep Tissue but uses other techniques like cross-fiber friction, deep compression and trigger point therapy to enhance performance and/or promote healing to post performance. This therapy is geared with the athlete in mind. *It is not recommended to receive Sports Massage within two to three days of competition as this can inhibit your competition. We suggest you go for either Relaxation within this time-frame or try a short invigorating massage on the day of before you compete.
Pregnancy Massage: Pre- and Post-Partum massage is a gentle noninvasive approach for relaxing mom. This massage is aimed at the troubling areas throughout all periods of pre- and post-Partum, primarily to benefit blood and lymph flow and ease any painful areas most commonly the low back and feet. *We do not massage during the first trimester.
Chair Massage: Chair massage is perfect for relaxation while in the chair with invigorating results to get you through the rest of your day.
